We help our patients gain power over their breathing, when at the outset it’s the other way around. We examine the current level of lung health, activity, and avenues to improvement, then provide all the resources necessary to move forward for a higher quality of life.

Providing physical, occupational, and speech therapies to get our guests back on their feet is our calling. We want you to reach your full capacity, so you can return to your normal life. Our team is multi-faceted, including doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and social workers, who will provide your loved one with a unique plan of care.

Certified
ventilator care

A ventilator helps patients who have suffered from respiratory failure to breathe when they are unable to fully do so on their own. Our skilled respiratory team is sensitive to the hardship respiratory illness saddles on both our residents and their families. The combination of the latest technology, and our caring staff, ensure that patients get the help they need. This includes eventual independence from ventilation. Our staff is certified and reviewed on a regular basis, has use of the latest technology and techniques, and will provide a constant level of ventilation treatment, as needed, as your loved one is transferred from the hospital to our care. At our sub-acute facility, we often serve patients who have suffered neuromuscular diseases, spinal injuries, stroke, heart attack, and conditions such as multiple sclerosis or ALS.

Tracheostomy
care

The management of a tracheostomy patient by our skilled nursing staff begins with monitoring and a complete knowledge of the care required. This includes suctioning, tie and tube changes, stoma care, feeding and nutrition, oral care, communication, and finally—how to plan for discharge and decannulation.

Cardio-Pulmonary
Rehab

Our cardio-pulmonary therapists help our patients learn how to breathe again and become active to the full extent of their abilities. While attached to a heart monitor, your loved one will be coached to increase his or her physical conditioning, to relax, handle shallow breath, and still exercise in safety and efficiency.

Wound
care

We help our patients heal complex wounds, which would otherwise progress without intervention. These come in all types: pre- and post-flap surgery, burns, ulcers (diabetic, venous, arterial or pressure), and ostomies. Treatments include professional skin care and regular wound management, seating and bed protocols, IV drip antibiotics, and nutritional coaching. Patients facing wound recovery are provided with doctors who are experts in their particular condition, physical therapy to speed wound recovery, occupational therapy to speed return to life as normal, psychological care and counseling, as well as complete management of patient care.

Intravenous
therapies

Nutrient and medicinal IV therapies are more effective than pills or anything digested, because the contents go straight into the body without being filtered or broken down. We offer this to those patients who will be helped by this form of therapy.

management

Our pain management care includes not just medication, but access to therapies that will increase the quality of life for patients struggling with acute or chronic pain.

We help people facing diabetes with regular monitoring of blood sugar levels. This includes personalized glycemic goals and simple treatments. Diet is a key factor in managing diabetes. Our dietitians provide menus that are tuned to the health needs and preferences of each of our patients. This promotes a full return to health, nutrition management, and a better life.

Recovering from a stroke or acute brain injury takes active therapy, patience and perseverance. We provide it all to help our patients bring back as much of their old selves as possible, regain their ability to function fully, move naturally, as well as to speak and think clearly.

Memory illness takes a unique level of understanding and care. Our staff are well versed in what it takes to help a person who is facing the difficult loss of his or her memory and faculties. We have created a safe, thoughtful and positive space for all of our Alzheimer’s and dementia patients.

Long Term
Care

When you need help, we’re here, 24 hours a day. Our long-term residents receive the care they need on demand, and our staff is aligned with each of their personal requirements. This includes not just physical needs, such as providing medication, personal hygiene and everyday movement—but practical and emotional needs, such as money management and activities.

Respite
care

Sometimes every caretaker needs a break to recharge. Allow us to assist you during this time by offering you temporary care that is ideal for a family member who is sick, elderly, or handicapped. This period may last anywhere from days to weeks, providing you with peace of mind that you’re leaving your loved one in good hands.

Hospice and
palliative

End of life is like no other time, and we stand ready to assist you and your family at this incredibly sensitive time of deep need. We provide medical care for the symptoms of your loved one, and if possible or wanted, curative levels of treatment. Residents who are in need of hospice and palliative care may include those suffering from heart failure, Parkinson’s disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and dementia. Palliative care is best offered at the time of a diagnosis, as it can help your loved one to learn about the options for medical treatment. Palliative care can also be part of a curative regimen and does not require a prognosis to be effective in alleviating discomfort or disability.
